Agnes Brokerhof will discuss the application of risk management in the cultural heritage field and how heritage organisations can use it to set priorities and efficiently allocate limited resources to reduce risks for collections preservation. Andor Vince will present a case study in managing risks to collections applying the methodology developed by the Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) and the Cultural Heritage Agency for the Netherlands (RCE). Dr Anna Bulow will present her experiences with application on risk management in complex organisations. Throughout the day participants will take part in a risk assessment exercise and will have an opportunity to discuss issues in collections care such as strategic planning, prioritisation and cost-effective resource allocation.
