Program

Morning:    Instructor Christel Pesme, formerly at the Getty
            Conservation Institute, will present concepts and tools
            recently developed in the field of preventive
            conservation.  She will show how to use the portable
            microfading tester in order to assess light sensitivity
            of collection items.  Methodology in how to use the test
            results for best management of light-induced risks will
            be provided.  The presentation will be in English.
            Partial translation to German may be provided.

Lunch       We will organize a common lunch (included in fee) on the
            nearby art campus

Afternoon   A guided tour through the unique art storage and
            exhibition space of Schaulager will be offered.  It will
            be lead by the art education and conservation
            departments of Schaulager.

This event will be of interest to anyone who works with light
sensitive collections; however, it is primarily aimed at
conservators and collection managers.
