Internship in the Conservation of Outdoor Sculpture Cantor Arts Center Stanford University The Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University is offering a pre-program paid internship in the conservation of outdoor sculpture. The intern will participate in the ongoing maintenance program dedicated to the preservation of the outdoor art collection on Stanford's campus. In addition to the regular maintenance of the collection, interns will be involved in current conservation projects and will assist with documentation. The internship will enable them to gain requisite skills and experience necessary for admission to a formal graduate program in conservation. This is a part-time paid internship and the dates and hours are somewhat flexible. Qualified candidates must show an established interest in the field of conservation (through previous internships, classes, etc.) and related disciplines such as art history, studio art, materials science, or chemistry. Candidates must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of an undergraduate bachelors program. Previous experience in the field of conservation is desirable.
