Internship in the Conservation of Outdoor Sculpture
Cantor Arts Center
Stanford University

The Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University is offering a
pre-program paid internship in the conservation of outdoor
sculpture. The intern will participate in the ongoing maintenance
program dedicated to the preservation of the outdoor art collection
on Stanford's campus. In addition to the regular maintenance of
the collection, interns will be involved in current conservation
projects and will assist with documentation. The internship will
enable them to gain requisite skills and experience necessary for
admission to a formal graduate program in conservation. This is a
part-time paid internship and the dates and hours are somewhat
flexible.

Qualified candidates must show an established interest in the field
of conservation (through previous internships, classes, etc.) and
related disciplines such as art history, studio art, materials
science, or chemistry. Candidates must be enrolled in or a recent
graduate of an undergraduate bachelors program. Previous experience
in the field of conservation is desirable.
