In the Spring of 2015 The Centre for Photographic Conservation is
offering a programme of courses and workshops on aspects of the
preservation and conservation of historic photographs. The Centre's
career and professional development courses offer conservators and
other heritage professionals specialist training in this challenging
field; enabling them to hone their practical skills and upgrade
their knowledge of current developments and techniques. Course
tutors are Ian Moor and Angela Moor who communicate their knowledge,
expertise and passion in such a way as to bring alive the history
and diversity of photography whilst still fully addressing the 21st
Century problems of preserving and conserving this evocative and
transient medium. Their approach can not fail to stimulate
participants to a deeper understanding of, and professional growth
in this demanding discipline.

disaster preparedness, recovery and rehabilitation techniques
and procedures, and enable collectors or collections managers in
both the public and private sectors to more accurately identify
local, geographic and in-house needs. In-house training courses
are structured and tailored to your individual needs, taking
advantage of economies of scale and can be scheduled in

2016-2017: We have just had a meeting to plan our next five years,
as you may be aware the Moors have been trying to retire for years
and have come to the conclusion that this is never going to happen.
They just keep getting such interesting things to be involved with.

Because of this they are looking at our course programme for 2016.
Because of a major project The Centre is involved with it is
unlikely that The Centre will run a full programme of courses in
2016. We do intend/hope to schedule the short courses but we will
not include our 7 week Certificated course or the Master classes for
2016. We are not looking ahead to 2017 either at this time.
