Subject: Dispersion K360 as replacement for Plextol D360
I am considering to use Dispersion K360 for a conservation treatment. Currently, this product is offered by Kremer Pigmente as a replacement for Plextol D360, which is no longer available. In the information sheet of this product it is stated that Dispersion K360 is similar to Plextol D360 in means that the dried film will remain tacky. However, the chemical composition and properties like pH-value differ significantly and it is recommended that this is considered before the product is used for conservation purposes. Has someone experience with the use of Dispersion K360 and is there already information available about the exact chemical composition and the ageing behavior of this product?
