Guided Tour of Roman Funerary Art Metropolitan Museum of Art January 17, 2014 The New York Chapter of the Association for Gravestone Studies has arranged a guided tour of Roman Funerary Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, led jointly by a curator and a conservator. Please join us for this rare opportunity to learn about funerary objects in the collection. The tour will be led by Christopher Lightfoot, Curator, Department of Greek and Roman Art, and De Abramitis, Conservator, The Sherman Fairchild Center for Objects Conservation. The tour will take place on Friday January 17, 2014, at 6 pm. Although the tour is currently at capacity, any interested parties will be placed onto a waiting list for the event.
