Senior Tutor in Cultural Materials Conservation Faculty of Arts School of Historical and Philosophical Studies The University of Melbourne, Australia Employment Type: Full-time (fixed-term) position available for 3 years Salary: AUD$61,138 - AUD$82,963 p.a. plus 9.25% superannuation The Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation, in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies has a graduate teaching focus, a strong interdisciplinary research higher degree culture, and an internationally recognised profile for regional collaboration. The School seeks to appoint a Senior Tutor in the field of Cultural Materials Conservation. In this role you may be required to teach subjects at undergraduate and graduate level and to supervise research theses in Masters coursework and research (MA and PhD) programs. They will be capable of teaching subjects in professional practices and ethics, materials and techniques, preventive and applied conservation and vocational training. The appointee will have an established research specialisation in an aspect of cultural materials conservation, and potential to achieve a high level of research performance through refereed publications and the securing of research grants. The appointee will also play a role in the Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation's regional engagement activities.
