Subject: Effect of humidity on Fosshape
I am trialling using Fosshape for a storage mount on an 18th century hoop and a question has come up about how the material reacts to fluctuations in humidity over time. More specifically, does it deform and become misshapen? I know that the material, according to the manufacturer's website, is mould and mildew resistant and "unlike buckram, Fosshape does not fall apart ... in humid/rainy conditions." Has anyone done any research on this before?
