Saving Antiquities for Everyone (SAFE), a not-for-profit
organization dedicated to preserving cultural heritage worldwide,
has started "Confrontations", a new blog series on its website

The posts feature personal stories of encounters with situations
(such witnessing the vandalism of an ancient site or being offered
suspect objects for sale) which highlight the irreversible damage
that results from looting and the illicit trade of cultural
heritage.  Conservators are asked to share their firsthand
