Call for Presenters Library Collections Conservations Discussion Group (LCCDG) The Library Collections Conservations Discussion Group (LCCDG) of the AIC Book and Paper Group is pleased to announce the 2014 session topic: Green Management: Methods of reducing waste and reclaiming our conservation materials. In keeping with this year 's theme, LCCDG would like to explore methods of lightening the ecological and economical footprint of conservation work. The LCCDG co-chairs are seeking individuals to present topics such as: Better managing conservation materials to reduce waste and improve reuse of scrap. Implementing green waste and/or recycling programs, successful or otherwise. Managing and/or implementing digital workflow, collaboration and documentation processes. Identifying recyclable and/or reusable materials commonly used in conservation. Project planning and accurate materials estimating for green project management. Reducing energy consumption and a lab or studio's physical footprint. Sourcing of local supplies and materials. Speakers are asked to prepare a ten-to-fifteen minute presentation and provide a one-page handout for reference.
