ConservArt

ConservArt <URL:http://www.conservart.com> is a multidisciplinary
conservation studio. We treat paintings, works on paper, objects,
carved, gilt and poly-chromed wood, ceramics, glass, photographic
materials and others. We also provide Museum Exhibit Framing,
conservation grade custom framing, make replicas of period frames
and micro-climate enclosures.

My name is George Schwartz. This year marks 50 years of being in
private practice, the last 21+ years in South Florida. I have been
on the Board of CIPP since 2007, serving as Director, Vice Chair and
Chair. Currently I serve as Chair Emeritus and Chair of the
Nominating Committee.

I'm looking for a conservator to work with me during a transitional
period, which would culminate in the transfer of the ownership of
ConservArt to the candidate.

The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, with good
inter-personal skills, a generalist familiar with the physics and
chemistry of materials, possessing sound judgement and business
acumen, a natural entrepreneur self promoter and a tireless and
energetic worker with a insatiable thirst and desire to learn; all
characteristics essential for running a successful conservation
practice. Status of Professional Associate or Fellow of the AIC with
a minimum of five years of post graduate bench experience either in
Private Practice or in an institutional lab is essential.
