Water stains on unprimed linen

I would welcome any suggestions about removal of water stains on a
contemporary painting on unprimed linen.  There is a thin tempera
wash all over the surface and the painting medium is also tempera.
Therefore the difficulty in using any water based cleaning agent,
even with suction table underneath.
