Tour and conference on Andean textiles

For those who would like to learn about Andean textiles from
Peruvian weavers, the Tinkuy de Tejedores/Gathering of Weavers
provides an opportunity in Cusco, November 12-15, 2013. This is the
second international gathering of weavers, organized by the
non-profit Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco. A description
of the presentations, demonstrations by local and visiting weavers,
and hands-on workshops is contained in a pdf that can be downloaded

For those who have time for an in-depth experience, a two-week tour
that includes visits to the weaving communities and archaeological
sites, as well as the Tinkuy, is available. A basic Tinkuy travel
package is also available. Independent travelers can opt to make
