Subject: Article on treatment of tsunami damaged documents
A volunteer group Tokyo Bunsho Kyuentai (Toubunq: Tokyo Document Recovery Assistance Force), was established in the beginning of May 2011 by former librarians from Tokyo district and private conservators with its purpose to support recovery of paper based documents damaged by the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. We have reported the details of our activities in the latest issue (IPN59-60) of International Preservation News (IPN) "Mass Treatment Recovery for Tsunami Damaged Document by Local People Assisted by Conservators" International Preservation News (August 2013, No.59-60). p.37 Toru Kibe The table of contents on the IFLA website at <URL:http://www.ifla.org/node/7922> Tokyo Bunsho Kyuentai (Toubunq: Tokyo Document Recovery Assistance Force): <URL:http://toubunq.blogspot.com> toubunq<-at->gmail<.>com If any DistList reader has comments on this report, please send them to Toru Kibe torukibe<-at->gmail<.>com or tkibehozon.co.jp Kaname Shimada shimada<-at->hozon<.>co<.>jp *** Conservation DistList Instance 27:13 Distributed: Monday, September 16, 2013 Message Id: cdl-27-13-005 ***Received on Friday, 6 September, 2013
