Clothworkers' Foundation Conservation Research Fellowship 2014

Conservation Research Fellowship 2014

Now in its sixth year, this competitive programme awards up to
UKP80,000 for a UK public institution to enable a senior conservator
(employed by that institution) to pursue a research project
sabbatical for two years.

During the sabbatical, the senior conservator's post will be covered
by an externally recruited junior conservator.

The grant will cover the salary and on-costs of the junior
conservator, and the project costs of the work undertaken by the
senior conservator.

Previous fellowships have been awarded to: Glasgow Museums for
research into/conservation of, 15th century stained glass windows;
the British Museum for research into/conservation of,
naturally-mummified human remains, Pitt Rivers Museum for research
into/conservation of the Cook Voyage Collection; Courtauld Institute
of Art for the conservation and study of a major painting; and Tate
for research into/conservation of British paintings from 1530-1790.

We regret that public institutions outside the UK are not eligible
to apply for the conservation fellowship.
