Lecture and General Meeting Bay Area Art Conservation Guild (BAACG) The Bay Area Art Conservation Guild invites the conservation, preservation and general museum community and other interested parties to a talk at San Francisco State University: We will be hosting a general meeting, conservation lecture and potluck luncheon at SF State on August 24, 2013 starting at 11am in the Science room 270: <URL:http://www.sfsu.edu/~sfsumap/southeast.htm> Coffee will be provided. Please bring a brunch food item of your choice to share for the potluck. BAACG meeting schedule August 24, 201 11am-noon General Membership BAACG Meeting Noon-1pm Lecture by Peter Palmer who is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at San Francisco State University (SFSU), co-Director of SFSUa's Mass Spectrometry Facility, and Science Advisor for the FDA. His research interests focus on the development, characterization, and application of highly automated instrumentation for trace chemical analysis. Since 2001 he has worked for many Native American groups testing objects for pesticides and other toxic substances. Many of these objects were returned from major museums under the NAGPRA program.
