UCL Centre for Sustainable Heritage, in collaboration with the
Birmingham Museums Trust invite applications from excellent
candidates for the Birmingham Museums Trust Heritage Science
Bursary. Birmingham Museum Trust is responsible for governing and
managing the museum sites and collections owned by Birmingham Museum
Council, including Aston Hall, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery,
Blakesley Hall, Museum Collections Centre, Museum of the Jewellery
Quarter, Sarehole Mill, Soho House, Thinktank and Weoley Castle. The
new independent organisation is focused on sustaining and developing
key partnerships within the city and beyond, in order to deliver
high quality, audience focused museum services, and meet the needs
of Birmingham communities as well as its wider audiences.

This UKP10,000 bursary will assist the successful UK/EU candidate to
study part-time on the Master of Research (MRes) Heritage Science
Programme at UCL over a period of two years. The bursary of UKP5,000
per year is a contribution towards the course fees or living

The MRes Heritage Science at UCL Centre for Sustainable Heritage is
an interdisciplinary programme that takes an innovative approach to
the teaching of 'hard' science subjects by placing cultural heritage

To apply for the bursary, candidates must have received a letter
with an unconditional offer to enrol on the MRes Heritage Science
course by 2 September 2013, and to have submitted the completed
Birmingham Museums Trust Heritage Science Bursary Application Form
by the same date.
