Internship in paper conservation Royal Library, Windsor Castle Closing date: 12 August 2013 A nine-month internship in paper conservation is offered in the Royal Library, Windsor Castle. Fixed-term (9 months) 37.5 hours per week Subsistence: UKP12,500 per annum pro rata, plus training and benefits Starting date: 15 October 2013 We are currently looking for a Paper Conservation Intern to work with our paper conservation team at Windsor Castle. The paper conservation team conserves books, manuscripts, works of art on paper, maps and plans, photographs, fans and other paper-related items from the Royal Collection and Royal Archives. The Intern will gain hands-on experience of the skills involved in the conservation and preservation of works of art on paper from the Royal Collection. If you have a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Paper Conservation, a broad knowledge and appreciation of art on paper; an enthusiastic, methodical, organised approach to work; and are available between October 2013 and July 2014.
