PhD studentship on Modern British Oil Paint
Courtauld Institute of Art and Tate

An opportunity has arisen for a collaborative PhD studentship to be
hosted by the Courtauld Institute of Art and Tate, London and
supervised by Dr. Aviva Burnstock and Dr. Bronwyn Ormsby. The
research area is Modern British Oil Paints: history, formulation and
use. Candidates will ideally have a scientific background or
experience of scientific and technical study of art and be
interested in undertaking scientific research.

The award covers tuition fees and a maintenance grant (UKP15,726 per
annum 20013/14 tax exempt). Please note that this award is only
available to UK/EU applicants.

The deadline for applications is 10am on 2 September 2013, the
interviews will be held at Tate Britain on 6 September 2013

The start date is 30 September 2013.
