Call for papers--Conference on book production

"Inside/outside: A case for the book"

The Association of Book Crafts New Zealand is hosting an
International conference in Auckland 24-26 October 2014.

The conference will provide a platform for discussion and
interchange on all aspects of book production, the bindings and
contents of both traditional and innovative structures.  Including
production of paper and leather, designing and layout, conservation,
typography, illustration, editioning, pricing and selling.

Proposals are invited for presentations in these and all other areas
of bookmaking, conservation, collecting or designing and could be in
the form of a lecture, discussion, demonstration or a workshop.

In addition to bookbinders, book artists and conservators, we
welcome abstracts from artists, collectors, librarians and people in
other related fields.

It is anticipated that there will be workshops on offer before and
after the conference.

Abstracts up to 300 words in length should be submitted by 30
September 2013 to abc2014nz<-at->gmail<.>com with 'ABC abstract' in the
subject line. In addition please provide a short biography and
complete the form available
