    (2 volumes, 1890-1899)

    New York Times Personal Name Index, 1851-1974

    New York Times Personal Name Index Supplement, 1975-1999
    (8 volumes)

About 48 inches in shelf space in all. Boxed and ready to go.  (2
book-size boxes)

For those unfamiliar with the Times PNI, it was until about 2000 the
gold standard in researching the Times, an alphabetized collation of
all the personal names shown in the yearly/half-yearly/quarterly
Times indices themselves.   So you didn't have to check "Rosario
Candela" in every volume of the index.

They are still useful to the very, very dedicated researcher, since
about 15% of the cites they recover do not show up in the ProQuest
digitization.
