Head of Science National Gallery of Art The National Gallery of Art seeks a candidate to serve as the Head of Science, reporting to the Chief of Conservation. The person selected for the position will serve in a leadership role in organizing and coordinating the division's Scientific Research Department. The incumbent will oversee the operations of the scientific research department, develop long term goals and strategies for personnel, budgets and work assignments, plans and execute a program of scientific research of materials used in preservation and creation of works of art. The series and grade of this position is a GS 1301-15 and qualifications are commensurate with those at a senior level in the profession. The position is full-time and benefits are provided.
