Assistant/Associate Paintings Conservator
Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art

The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art is seeking candidates for the
full-time position of Assistant/Associate Paintings Conservator. The
position reports directly to the Chief Conservator. The candidate
will be involved in all conservation-related activities, such as
treatment, examination, and technical research, and will engage with
museum curators, registrars, and educators, as well as the general
public.

The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in conservation
from a recognized program, or have equivalent work experience, as
well as strong oral and written communication skills, and an ability
to work both independently and collaboratively. A particular
expertise is not required, but the Wadsworth Atheneum's outstanding

opportunities and challenges. An interest in American and European
decorative arts is a plus.

This position offers exciting opportunities for achievement and
growth. Compensation includes salary and a generous benefits
package.
