Preventive Conservator

UKP16,453 per annum (pro rata to UKP27,422 per annum)

Part-time, fixed-term contract of 4 months

We are seeking an experienced Preventive Conservator to provide
preventive conservation support and expertise for Tate Britain
specifically in the newly re-opened galleries opening May 2013 and
the works of art in Tate's collection and care.  Areas of work will
include; Environmental Monitoring, Data collation and Analysis,
Integrated Pest Management, Risk Analysis.

This fixed-term position is for 4 months based in our Conservation
Science Section.

You will hold a recognised qualification in Preventive Conservation
with demonstrable practical experience.   It is essential to have
analytical and problem-solving skills, organisational,
time-management and planning skills, and to be effective
communicator.  You will need to be able to work independently and
provide specialist advice.   Good end-use IT skills will also be
necessary.
