"Conserving and Exhibiting the Works of Nam June Paik" Lunder Conservation Center Smithsonian American Art Museum Washington DC Wednesday, June 26, 2013 On Wednesday, June 26, 2013 the Lunder Conservation Center will be hosting a full-day symposium examining the conservation and restoration of works by Nam June Paik. Talks will focus on the exhibition, "Nam June Paik: Global Visionary." Presenters will discuss their experiences with conserving and exhibiting Paik's works in a series of lectures and panel discussions. Specific artworks will be addressed in relation to broader issues of time-based media art conservation. (This program is partially supported by the Smithsonian Institution's Consortia for Understanding the American Experience and the Consortia for World Cultures) This program is free and open to the public.
