"Linking the Environment and Heritage Conservation: Life Cycle Assessment of Loans, Environmental Control, and Lights" AIC's 41st Meeting Indianapolis Thursday, May 30, Noon-2pm The Committee on Sustainable Conservation Practice (CSCP) and environmental engineer, Dr. Mathew Eckelman from Northeastern University will present our collaborative project that examines the sustainability of loans, exhibitions and environmental control from cradle to grave. Dr. Eckelman's students worked closely with Museum of Fine Arts, Boston staff and with the CSCP to devise and carry out three life cycle assessment (LCA) projects that would be relevant to the AIC community. Dr. Eckelman will present the LCA results and recommendations at the Lunch Session. Each group will discuss one of the three LCAs presented, brainstorm about the next steps for the LCA project and discuss further LCAs that might be beneficial. At the end of the breakout session one person from each group will present the group discussion. The lunch session is coordinated by AIC's Committee on Sustainable Conservation Practice.
