Subject: Call for presentations--AIC session on fundraising
"Then vs. Now: Fundraising for Conservation Isn't What It Used To Be" AIC Annual Meeting, Indianapolis Friday, May 31, 2013 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM Susan Mathisen, President, SAM Fundraising Solutions Session on Fundraising at AIC Would you like to get a little free fundraising advice? The discussion session, "Then Vs. Now: Fundraising For Conservation Isn't What it Used To Be", will be exploring the new realities of fundraising. I would like to include some collective brainstorming as part of the session and am looking for one or two volunteers who would like to participate. If you have a conservation project that requires funding, yet you have not been able or do not know how to go about securing support for it, please consider presenting it at this session. The project will be used as a springboard for an audience discussion, or a bit of brainstorming, which can help you make a case for support in light of the new fundraising realities. Conservators in private practice are welcome to present an institutional client's project. Presentations should be brief, 3-5 minutes, and include at least the following: Project description Organization mission Any previous fundraising history and challenges (i.e. past conservation grants received, small donor pool, no Board involvement in fundraising) Project goals If you are interested in participating, or have any questions, please contact Susan Mathisen directly at samathisen<-at->hotmail<.>com. *** Conservation DistList Instance 26:48 Distributed: Sunday, May 5, 2013 Message Id: cdl-26-48-003 ***Received on Tuesday, 30 April, 2013
