Head of Collections Conservation Services, Edinburgh National Trust for Scotland Salary: UKP45,637 rising to UKP48,038 The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) is an independent charity founded in 1931 to safeguard the nation's magnificent heritage of architectural, scenic and historic treasures and is Scotland's 3rd largest landowner. It is perhaps best known for its 128 visited buildings and countryside estates, including castles, palaces, country houses, gardens, islands and a World Heritage Site. A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of the Trust's Collections Conservation Services, who will drive the strategy and delivery of the conservation of the Trust's historic interiors and collections, in line with corporate strategic objectives and the Trust's Collections Conservation Policy and Conservation Principles. To be successful in this role you will possess a recognised qualification in remedial or preventive conservation with considerable demonstrable industry experience, coupled with accredited conservator-restorer status. This will underpin strong leadership ability in the field of collections conservation and a track record of high levels of advocacy.
