Head of Collections Conservation Services, Edinburgh

Salary: UKP45,637 rising to UKP48,038

The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) is an independent charity
founded in 1931 to safeguard the nation's magnificent heritage of
architectural, scenic and historic treasures and is Scotland's 3rd
largest landowner. It is perhaps best known for its 128 visited
buildings and countryside estates, including castles, palaces,
country houses, gardens, islands and a World Heritage Site.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of the Trust's
Collections Conservation Services, who will drive the strategy and

Trust's Collections Conservation Policy and Conservation Principles.

To be successful in this role you will possess a recognised
qualification in remedial or preventive conservation with
considerable demonstrable industry experience, coupled with
accredited conservator-restorer status. This will underpin strong
leadership ability in the field of collections conservation and a
track record of high levels of advocacy.
