Subject: Workshop on magnetic resonance in cultural heritage
Volterra Summer School on Magnetic Resonance in Cultural Heritage There is an Ampere Summer School on Analyzing Cultural Heritage using Portable Magnetic Resonance to be held in Volterra, Italy, from 12-15 June 2013. This will be a three-day workshop for conservators, restorers, art historians and scientists interested in learning how portable, non-invasive magnetic resonance can help understand the material composition, condition and technology of works of art. The workshop includes lectures, hands-on experiments, participant contributions, a panel discussion and an on-site demonstration of a historical wall painting. Registration will continue until 1 May 2013 and, although space is limited, there are a few remaining slots.
