Tate Gallery Trainee Conservators (5 positions) UKP16,230 per annum Tate offers unique opportunities to those eager to learn, to continue with hands-on, paid training, working with some of the world's foremost art experts on some of the world's finest collections. You'll be joining around 130 people working in the teams that make up the Collection Care division. We have opportunities in five conservation specialisms: paintings, preventive, paper, time-based media and sculpture. As a Trainee Conservator you'll join an 18-month training programme funded in partnership with the Heritage Lottery Fund's Skills for the Future. At the same time as you work with experts and learn new skills, you'll be paid a salary of UKP16,230 per year. You'll have your own individual learning plan and you'll be mentored and trained by some of the best and most experienced professionals in the art world. Our aim is to give you valuable skills and experience that you just couldn't get anywhere else, and in the process provide a vital step towards a rewarding career in the arts. At the end of the traineeship, you'll be awarded a certificate in recognition of your work. As one of the world's leading art organisations, Tate welcomes over 7 million visitors to our four galleries. We hold the national collection of British art from 1500 and the national collection of international modern and contemporary art from 1900.
