Trainee Conservators (5 positions)

UKP16,230 per annum

Tate offers unique opportunities to those eager to learn, to
continue with hands-on, paid training, working with some of the
world's foremost art experts on some of the world's finest
collections. You'll be joining around 130 people working in the
teams that make up the Collection Care division.

We have opportunities in five conservation specialisms: paintings,
preventive, paper, time-based media and sculpture. As a Trainee
Conservator you'll join an 18-month training programme funded in
partnership with the Heritage Lottery Fund's Skills for the Future.
At the same time as you work with experts and learn new skills,
you'll be paid a salary of UKP16,230 per year.

You'll have your own individual learning plan and you'll be mentored
and trained by some of the best and most experienced professionals
in the art world. Our aim is to give you valuable skills and
experience that you just couldn't get anywhere else, and in the
process provide a vital step towards a rewarding career in the arts.
At the end of the traineeship, you'll be awarded a certificate in
recognition of your work.

As one of the world's leading art organisations, Tate welcomes over
7 million visitors to our four galleries. We hold the national
collection of British art from 1500 and the national collection of
international modern and contemporary art from 1900. Currently the
collection includes over 68,000 artworks in a wide range of media
and we continue to add new works to the collection.

These Traineeships are offered on a fixed-term basis of 18 months.

Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
