Sculpture Conservator
UKP16,453 per annum (pro rata to UKP27,422 per annum)

We are seeking an experienced sculpture conservator to work within
our Sculpture Conservation team in support of the Tate Acquisition
and Collection Care programme. Day-to-day, you will concentrate on
assessing, preparing and treating works of art within the Collection
and on supporting all related programme activity.

You will hold a recognised qualification in the Conservation of
Sculpture or Objects and have demonstrable practical experience with
a broad range of artworks. It is essential to have analytical and
problem-solving skills, organisational, time-management and planning
skills, and to be an effective communicator. You will need to be
able to work independently on conservation treatments and provide
specialist advice for storage, packing, transport and installation
of works of art, including the creation of case specifications for
complex artworks.    Good end-user IT skills are required and
experience with modern and contemporary sculptures and sculptural
installations is desirable.

This post is offered on a fixed-term contract of 12 months.
