Centre for Research Collections Internship at the University of Edinburgh The Centre for Research Collections (CRC) has developed a new programme of internships to teach and extend core skills in the cultural heritage sector. Following the success of our first two internships earlier this year, we are now offering one conservation internship to provide essential experience for those hoping to undertake further study to qualify as a conservator. This internship is available for 10 weeks full-time from May to July 2013. A stipend of UKP3,000 is attached to the internship. This is an exciting opportunity to work on unique material in the University of Edinburgh Archive <URL:http://www.ed.ac.uk/schools-departments/information-services/services/library-museum-gallery/crc/collections/special-collections/eua> in particular to preserve a newly accessioned and important collection of material relating to the significant Scottish folklorist, poet, writer and political activist Hamish Henderson. Wider experience of working in the archive and higher education sectors will also be offered. This internship is specifically intended for those who intend to apply for a relevant conservation qualification.
