CHARISMA workshop New techniques for the non-invasive investigation of the surface and subsurface structure of heritage objects Nicolaus Copernicus University Torun, Poland 25-26 June 2013 Organized by the National Gallery London in cooperation with NCU under the CHARISMA EU project This two-day workshop will provide an overview of both new emerging non-invasive examination techniques that are in development and those already available more widely. The focus will be on describing the characteristics and capabilities of each type of instrumentation, including some scientific background but with the emphasis on case studies illustrating practical applications in the cultural heritage field. There will be no admission fee. The workshop is complementary to the CHARISMA training event immediately following it, on application of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to structural analysis. Invitation for submission of posters Although the main programme will comprise mainly invited presentations, an open call is being made for poster presentations on the themes of the workshop. There will be a dedicated poster session and in addition six poster submissions will be chosen for short oral presentations (10-15 minutes each).
