Lecturer in Sustainable Heritage University College London Closing date 15 April 2013 UCL Job Ref: 1319808 Further details can be found at: <URL:https://atsv7.wcn.co.uk/search_engine/jobs.cgi?owner=5041178&ownertype=fair&jcode=1319808> Duties and Responsibilities The postholder will be a member of the Centre for Sustainable Heritage, part of the Complex Built Environment Systems (CBES) group <URL:http://www.cbes.ucl.ac.uk> CBES was awarded a prestigious five-year Platform Grant from the EPSRC in recognition of its 'world leading' work. CBES is primarily interested in developing solutions to the practical problems of designing, constructing and managing appropriate environments within and around buildings. The post holder will carry out high quality research according to the Centre's research strategy <URL:http://www.bartlett.ucl.ac.uk/graduate/csh/research/strategy-objectives> to publish in peer-reviewed journals and to engage in wider research dissemination; to assist in the delivery of the Centre's MRes in Heritage Science and MSc in Sustainable Heritage in cooperation with the MRes Course Director and MSc Course Director respectively. Key Requirements The postholder will be an experienced academic and/or practitioner, have a PhD degree in historic building/material: science or engineering or technology (including nano-); conservation; environmental design and engineering; applied metrology; statistics; forecasting methods and applications. S/he will have substantial post-doctoral research experience, research skills, excellent written English and good presentation skills.
