Subject: Course on magnetic resonance in cultural heritage
There is an Ampere Summer School on Analyzing Cultural Heritage using Portable Magnetic Resonance to be held in Volterra, Italy, from 12-15 June 2013. This will be a three-day workshop for conservators, restorers, art historians and scientists interested in learning how portable non-invasive magnetic resonance can help understand the material composition, condition and technology of works of art. The workshop includes lectures, hands-on experiments, participant contributions, a panel discussion and an on-site demonstration of a historical wall painting.
