Persian and Mughal illumination course Central London 4 Day course over 4 Saturdays Maximum 6 people on course Course content: In-depth practice-based learning about manuscript illumination as practiced in India and Iran in the 16th - 17th centuries. Participants will learn about the design structure of an illuminated page, design grammar and innovations specific to the period. The studio is equipped with a comprehensive reference collection of pigments, tools and examples of illumination.
