An internship for the fall 2013 in paper conservation is available
at the Statens Museum for Kunst, Denmark.

The Conservation Department comprises three studios caring for a)
paintings, b) drawings and prints, and c) contemporary art and
objects.

The internship program offers students an opportunity to develop and
refine their skills through the examination and treatment of works
of art under the guidance of professional conservators. Informal
discussions contribute to the programme. In addition, the internship
will include other museum-related activities.

Candidates for internships should be students of a recognized
training programme or have equivalent training.

SMK does not offer financial support for interns, and external
funding is therefore required. SMK will offer letters of support for
fundraising for the accepted candidate.

The work place will be the Statens Museum for Kunst, Soelvgade
48-50, 1307 Copenhagen K, Denmark.

Accepted applicants who are not Danish citizens must provide proof
of their own health insurance during the internship period.
