Call for Papers: ASOR 2013

The American Schools of Oriental Research (ASOR) invites abstract
submissions for a session on "Conservation and Site Preservation in
the Near East" at the ASOR Annual Meeting, November 20-23, 2013 in
Baltimore, MD.

The goal of the session is to create a forum where archaeologists
and conservators can share research, exchange ideas, and discuss
issues impacting the conservation of Near Eastern artifacts and
sites. Interested speakers should submit a talk title and abstract
(maximum 250 words) by February 15, 2013 via ASOR's online abstract
submission system, a link to which can be found at

Membership in ASOR is required for submission. Please direct
questions to session chairs Suzanne Davis davissl<-at->umich<.>edu or
LeeAnn Barnes Gordon leeannbarnes<-at->gmail<.>com.

This session builds on a similar session held at the 2012 ASOR
annual meeting in Chicago, IL, and we are pleased to announce that
it has also been approved for the next two annual meetings: 2014 in
San Diego, CA and 2015 in Atlanta, GA. Conservators may be
interested in a range of other sessions as well, and the list for
2013 may be viewed at
