per week), fixed term Paintings Conservator based at Tate Britain
and Tate Modern in London.

We are seeking an experienced paintings conservator to work
part-time within our Paintings and Frames Conservation team in
support of the Tate Modern exhibition and displays programme area.
Day-to-day, you will concentrate on assessing, preparing and
treating works of art within the Collection and in Tate's care and
on supporting all related programme activity.

You will hold a recognised qualification in Paintings Conservation
with demonstrable practical experience treating, assessing and
installing modern and contemporary paintings. It is essential to
have analytical and problem-solving skills, organisational,
time-management and planning skills, and to be an effective
communicator. You will need to be able to work independently on
conservation treatments and provide specialist advice for storage,
transport and installation of works of art. Good end-user IT skills
are required as is a willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

This post is offered on a fixed term contract of 10 months from
April 2013.
