Deadlines for FAIC grants and scholarships

The Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation (FAIC)
offers several grants and scholarships to individuals and
organizations to promote professional development, outreach to the
public, publications, and conservation projects. The following
grants have a deadline of February 15, 2013.

FAIC/NEH Individual Professional Development Scholarship:  FAIC
offers scholarships up to $1,000 to help defray registration and
travel expenses for participants in the FAIC workshops supported by
NEH.  In 2013, eligible workshops are Digital Imaging for
Conservation and Museum Professionals Contemporary Print
Identification, and Conservation of Glass in Photography.

Individual Professional Development Scholarship:  Open to
Professional Associate or Fellow members of AIC, scholarships of up
to $1,000 are available to help defray professional development
costs for projects which may include seminars, courses, research, or
other continuing education endeavors.

FAIC/Mellon Collaborative Workshops in Photograph Conservation
Scholarships--Funded through a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon
Foundation, scholarships of up to $1,000, plus waiver of
registration fee, are available to international participants in the
Conservation of Glass in Photography course.

FAIC offers also grants to individuals and organizations conducting
activities that reach a wider public and help institutions conserve
their collections:

    Regional Angels Grant:  Grants of up to $1,000 are available for
    the development and implementation of Angels Projects not
    associated with AIC's Annual Meeting.

    Lecture Grant:  Funding may be applied toward the presentation
    of public lectures to help advance public awareness of
    conservation.
