Mellon Postgraduate Fellowship in Paintings Conservation Philadelphia Museum of Art The Philadelphia Museum of Art is offering a two-year Andrew W. Mellon Postgraduate Fellowship in Paintings Conservation, commencing on or around September 1, 2013. Possible extension of the Fellowship for a third year requires commitment to completion of an approved research project of publishable quality. The Fellow will perform examinations, research, and treatments on European and American paintings, produce and maintain technical documentation, and participate in preservation activities within the museum. The applicant should be a graduate of a recognized conservation training program or have equivalent training. Fluency in English language and demonstrated visual, manual, research, and writing abilities are required. Each Fellowship includes an annual stipend of $33,832.00, health insurance, $3,000.00 in travel funds, and $2,000.00 for research support.
