Salary: AUD$85,203 - AUD$101,175 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

The School of Historical and Philosophical Studies was formed in
2011 comprising the programs of History, History and Philosophy of
Science and Philosophy, the Centre for Classics and Archaeology, the
Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation and the Centre for Jewish
History and Culture. The new School brings together a lively,
engaging and vibrant programme of teaching and research which offers
a wide variety of courses and subjects.

The Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation (CCMC) in the School
of Historical and Philosophical Studies is the only centre of its
kind in Australia, combining both theory and practice of cultural
material conservation. The Centre has responsibility for the
conservation of the University of Melbourne's vast collections of
cultural material and provides commercial conservation programs,
treatments and advice for individuals and organisations. Our
teaching programs offer specialist courses in conservation and art
authentication.

The Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation has a graduate
teaching focus, a strong interdisciplinary research higher degree
culture, and an internationally recognised profile for regional
collaboration. The Centre seeks to appoint a Lecturer in the field
of Cultural Materials Conservation. In this role you will:

    Teach at the undergraduate and graduate level
    Supervise in Research Higher Degree programs
    Play a role in regional engagement activities
    Maintain your established research specialisation in an aspect
    of cultural materials
