Subject: New blog--Methods for art examination and documentation
Friends, colleagues, and former students ask me for technical hints related to buying new equipment, fixing old ones and finding educational resources. I've started a blog on methods for art Examination and Documentation, targeting innovative low-budget scientific solutions, mostly, multispectral imaging and microscopy. <URL:http://chsopensource.wordpress.com> I thought this blog could be useful for: Medium-small museums' professionals, conservators, art historians and curators, who can read about instruments, applications or just geeky solution to improve or upgrade their equipment. Private practice professionals. Conservators, art historians and art appraisers. Students in Higher Education, learning conservation and specifically conservation science. I already published posts on topics such as photographic methods for art documentation (color management, sharpness, HDR), multispectral imaging equipment, panoramic infrared reflectography, RTI, Terahertz, iPad for art documentation. Next posts would be on microscopy and raman spectroscopy.
