Cleaning of Acrylic Painted Surfaces
Lunder Center for Conservation
Washington DC
30 April - 3 May, 2013

The Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) and Lunder Conservation
Center are pleased to announce a workshop entitled Cleaning of
Acrylic Painted Surfaces (CAPS) to be held at the Lunder Center from
30 April - 3 May, 2013.

The workshop aims to directly engage conservators in the current
research into identifying a broader range of cleaning systems and
methodologies for acrylic painted surfaces. It will include lectures
presenting new research, technology and practical advances and a
significant amount of hands-on activity designed to apply and test
the different approaches.

The workshop is open to mid-career conservators with at least 3-5
years of experience working with 2-D and 3-D acrylic painted
surfaces and the application deadline is 21 January 2013. The cost
of the workshop is $500 USD. For more information about the
workshop, and to apply online, please visit CAPS on the Getty
website:
