January 18-February 1, 2013
Ossabaw Island, Georgia
Organized and led by David Bayne

Deadline: November 12

This program is made possible by a grant from the National Endowment
for the Humanities and by funds from the FAIC Endowment for
Professional Development.

This is a unique opportunity to study and apply preventive
conservation techniques in a historic house on a wilderness barrier
island off the coast of Savannah, Georgia.

Six participants will join project leaders for this in-depth
experience at the Torrey West House on Ossabaw Island. The island
is reachable only by chartered boat, and participants will bring
supplies and food from the mainland.

There is no registration fee. The six selected participants will
provide their own round trip transportation to Savannah, Georgia and
food for meals. Each participant will receive a $300 stipend toward
these expenses. The Ossabaw Island Foundation and FAIC will provide
boat transportation to the island, hotel lodging in Savannah on the
night of Friday, January 18, 2013 and lodging January 19-31, 2013 in
the historic "Clubhouse" maintained by the Foundation. The group
will return to Savannah on Thursday, February 1, 2013.

To apply, please send a detailed letter describing your interest in
preventive conservation and a resume or c.v. (be sure to include all
current contact information) by November 12, 2013 to:

Acceptance decisions will be announced by November 30, 2012. Late
