Book and Paper Internship at the Folger Shakespeare Library Washington DC The Werner Gundersheimer Conservation Lab is offering an internship starting December 2012 to April 2013 for conservators and advanced students with a minimum of five years training and work experience in the conservation field. Individuals applying for the Folger program should have well-developed fundamental skills in conservation and should feel comfortable working independently while receiving guidance from the Folger's conservation staff. The Conservation Intern will be involved in: Various treatments on book or paper artifacts. Exhibition preparation and installation. Parchment manuscript, seal conservation and rehousing project of a 16th-17th English deed collection. Rehousing of art on paper including minor treatments.
