at the Folger Shakespeare Library

The Werner Gundersheimer Conservation Lab is offering an internship
starting December 2012 to April 2013 for conservators and advanced
students with a minimum of five years training and work experience
in the conservation field. Individuals applying for the Folger
program should have well-developed fundamental skills in
conservation and should feel comfortable working independently while
receiving guidance from the Folger's conservation staff.

The Conservation Intern will be involved in:

    Various treatments on book or paper artifacts.

    Exhibition preparation and installation.

    Parchment manuscript, seal conservation and rehousing project of
    a 16th-17th English deed collection.

    Rehousing of art on paper including minor treatments.
