Party from: 6-8 pm

As a conservator you are holding the key to unlocking information
that is hidden away inside artefacts. Conservation work can bring up
unexpected or even surprising results, thereby revealing secrets
long forgotten. Have you ever worked on such an object and would
like to share your experience and tell us about your findings?

Or are you simply puzzled by your object: what is it made of? what
was it used for? what is it? If your object is a mystery to you,
come and tell us about it to see whether we can help to unlock the
mystery of your object.

mysteries topic or questions or images for the quiz, please contact

Icon Members UKP5 for meeting and UKP5 for after party

This informal meeting is held annually and provides a jovial
environment within which members of the conservation community can
meet and develop their understanding of the more unusual or amusing
aspects of archaeological conservation. This year we will combine
talks, a pub quiz style activity and tours of the Wiltshire Council
Conservation and Museums Advisory Service facilities followed by a
Christmas celebration with nibbles and good cheer!

There are 5 free student places available for the meeting only,
these will be allocated on a first come first served basis and we
will contact you to confirm a free place or request payment.
