Tate is currently recruiting for a full-time (36 hours per week),
permanent Senior Conservation Technician, Sculpture based at Tate
Britain in London. The salary is UKP22 900 per annum and the job

Tate Conservation is a dynamic department, supporting care of the
art collection and Tate programmes including acquisitions, displays,
exhibitions and loans. We are seeking an experienced Sculpture
Technician to provide technical support for and expertise with
sculptures and sculptural installations. You will concentrate on
designing, specifying, constructing and fitting out storage and
travel cases for artworks to Tate standards for transport and
storage. You will also assist in the preparation and treatment of
sculpture using a full range of specialist techniques.

You must have experience of working with and handling fine art, as
well as experience of designing and fitting out bespoke packing for
artworks. You must be able to demonstrate the practical skills
required for the movement and handling of art works. You must have a
pragmatic approach to problem-solving, have excellent communication
skills, be able to work flexibly and under pressure.
