Symposium "New Research on Iron Gall Ink" Library of Congress Oct 11, 2012 10am-12:30pm The Preservation Directorate of the Library of Congress would like to invite our colleagues and all interested parties to attend a symposium consisting of a series of lectures that will highlight initial results of new, collaborative scientific research into the chemistry of historical iron gall ink and its conservation treatment. Speakers include Dr. Karen Gaskell from the University of Maryland at College Park, Dept. of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Dr. Aldo Ponce, Prof. Richard Wolbers from the University of Delaware Art Conservation Department, and Dr. Anthony Lagalante from Villanova University, Dept. of Chemistry.
