Workshop
Silicon Mould Making
Ashmolean Museum, Oxford
24 November 2012

The Ceramics and Glass Committee is pleased to announce that booking
is now open for our new workshop on Silicon Mould Making.

Participants will be introduced to all the materials and guided
through the steps for making 2 and 3 part silicon moulds for
casting. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a new process, or
to develop your skills. If you are a new to the process involved in
casting and mould making, or even if you have some experience, this
workshop is for you.

The workshop will be held at the Ashmolean Museum, and participants
will have the opportunity to explore the galleries, recently
reopened after a major redevelopment of the museum, over lunch.

The committee is pleased to have secured the services of Kenneth
Watt and Dana Norris to lead the workshop. Kenneth led the Ceramics
Conservation course at West Dean College for over 20 years and is a
past winner of the Nigel Williams Prize. Dana currently works at the
Ashmolean Museum, and was heavily involved in the museum's
redevelopment project.

Costs (including lunch and all materials) ICON Member: UKP45 Non

Places are limited to 16 people, so book now to avoid
disappointment.
