Workshop Silicon Mould Making Ashmolean Museum, Oxford 24 November 2012 The Ceramics and Glass Committee is pleased to announce that booking is now open for our new workshop on Silicon Mould Making. Participants will be introduced to all the materials and guided through the steps for making 2 and 3 part silicon moulds for casting. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a new process, or to develop your skills. If you are a new to the process involved in casting and mould making, or even if you have some experience, this workshop is for you. The workshop will be held at the Ashmolean Museum, and participants will have the opportunity to explore the galleries, recently reopened after a major redevelopment of the museum, over lunch. The committee is pleased to have secured the services of Kenneth Watt and Dana Norris to lead the workshop. Kenneth led the Ceramics Conservation course at West Dean College for over 20 years and is a past winner of the Nigel Williams Prize. Dana currently works at the Ashmolean Museum, and was heavily involved in the museum's redevelopment project.
